Sawyer Studios
Extract from website: Arnie Sawyer Studios, Inc. was founded in 1980
as a graphic design and illustration studio. Arnie Sawyer came to New York City immediately after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1975. As an illustrator, Arnie's clients included: The New York Times, NBC-TV, and numerous monthly trade and consumer magazines.
The Friars Club of NY commissioned him to paint a series of portraits of their most famous members, all of which are prominently displayed in the clubhouse.
In a short time, Mr. Sawyer began designing posters for Dan Talbot's New Yorker Films. As the eighties went on and the independent film community grew, clients were added: New Line Cinema, Island Pictures, Cinecom, Alive, Avenue, Landmark, Samuel Goldwyn and Miramax Films. Today our client list includes nearly all of the major independents, as well as PBS Broadcasting, Good Machine, Ed Pressman Films, Angelika Film Centers, Alliance Atlantis, Miramax International and Dimension Films.
